What is Pointillism? why should we care?

According to Wikipedia Pointillism is the technique of painting dots of color applied in patterns to form a image. George Seurat and Paul Signac developed the technique in 1886 branching of from impressionism.

Fun fact the 4 color printing process comes from this technique.. Which makes sense if you think about it.   Color ink only has 4 colors in their ink cartilage.  I am inclosing some of my own items that are for sale in my store playing with dots.
